Wholesale:
I got $25,000 Stolen from me by a supplier in Texas.
This is a crazy story, and I'll explain why I consider it a success story. Like I mentioned earlier, it's crucial not to rush your product vetting or jump into business with the first person who seems somewhat legit and claims they can get you good inventory. Don’t be fooled—if they're on Telegram and promise your inventory will ship by Monday, don’t be naive. Chances are, that pallet is 3-4 stops down the supply chain and nowhere near the brand itself. The risk of receiving counterfeit goods and endangering your account with a Section 3 violation is very real.
So, I thought, does this guy really believe I don’t have the budget to sue him? I went ahead and filed suit because, yeah—I have the budget for it. Sure enough, after six weeks of silence, the guy finally called, begging for more time. If we hadn’t filed, I might never have heard back.
The real success here is how much I learned from this process—more than any course or guru could ever teach. The best lessons come from real experience. In life, there are no failures, only lessons.
There’s so much more to this story, and I plan to create a detailed YouTube video explaining all the steps you need to take to protect yourself from making the mistakes I did during my first year in wholesale. This will help you avoid the setbacks I faced and find success even faster.
